How long will the repair take?
It normally takes a few days for repairs. We often run the unit for a day or two after the repair to ensure that all is OK. Return time by USPS is usually 3-4 working days.
What to send
Put a note in the box with your name, email address, telephone number, and a description of the problem the unit has.
We recommend that you include the black power supply and power cord. You do not have to send accessories such as electrode wires, and raytubes, unless you suspect there might be a problem with them. To diagnose accessories, Click Here.
How to pack it
Pack a BCX Ultra and black power supply in a USPS Medium Flat Rate Box-1 OFRB1I (11' x 9' x 6'). Use a little padding, such as small bubble wrap, foam, or crumpled paper towels, on the bottom and sides. Fill the box above the unit with the same type of padding. If you are sending a power supply, provide plenty of padding between the BCX Ultra and the power supply. If you are sending Raytubes, wrap each individually with padding around the side and end of the glass portion.
DO NOT SEND BLACK CARRYING CASES. They do not fit in the boxes we use to return your items. If we receive a black carrying case and you wish to have it returned, there will be additional shipping charges.
How to ship it
Ship by USPS Priority Mail. Tracking is provided by the post office. Keep your tracking number, and you can check for delivery status at www.USPS.com. Insurance is your option. We have never experienced a lost item and never had a unit damaged in shipping when packaged this way.

Diagnosing BCX Ultra Accessories
Power Supplies
If the BCX Ultra does not turn on, the power supply may be bad.
Most newer power supplies have a rectangular green light on them. If the green light is lit, the power supply is probably OK. If the green light is flashing, unplug it from the BCX Ultra, and if the light stops flashing and becomes constant green, the power supply is probably OK.
If the power supply does not have a green light, there is no easy way to determine if it is working. When in doubt, send the power supply in along with a BCX Ultra, that will not turn on.
Electrodes
Metal plates and cylinders do not fail. However, the wires and plugs to them do.
If you have a BCX Electrode Tester, connect it in place of metal plates or cylinders and verify that the light on the BCX Electrode Tester is lit when the BCX Ultra is running. While operating, wiggle the wires and pull lightly on the wires from their plugs. If the tester light remains lit, the electrode wires are OK.
If you do not have a BCX Electrode Tester, you can look for obviously broken wires by holding the cable in one hand about 6' from the plug and gently pulling the plug. If the cable seems to stretch, there is a broken wire inside the cable. If it doesn't seem to stretch, the wire is not broken.
If wires are broken at the plugs, they can be repaired by unscrewing the black cap, cutting the wire 2' shorter, stripping 3/4' of insulation, and reassembling. Or, you can send the electrode wires to us for repair.
Raytubes
If both Raytubes don't function, it is unlikely that the Raytubes themselves are defective, unless they have been dropped, stretched by their cords, or otherwise abused.
If one Raytube does not work, switch the Raytubes left to right to determine if the problem is a Raytube or the machine.
To check for broken glass, look for damage to the ends, little pieces of glass inside when you shake them, and inspect through the glass down inside the handle for cracks in the glass on the sides. Raytubes with broken glass cannot be repaired.
To check for broken wires, hold the cable in one hand about 6' from the plug or glass and gently pull the plug or glass. If the cable seems to stretch, then there is a broken wire inside the cable. If it doesn't seem to stretch, the wire is not broken. We can usually repair Raytubes with broken wires.
